Great recipe that makes a small batch of cookies. I usually get 18 average size treats. My 13 year daughter made these the other night, and they turned out yummy.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup soft shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease your cookie sheet
- Mix shortening, peanut butter, egg and sugars
- Blend in the vanilla, salt and soda
- Roll dough into a ball about the size of ping pong and space on cookie sheet
- Dip fork into flour and make crisscross marks, gently flattening the ball of dough
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until done
